GO BACK TO ftp.microsoft.com !!! You got the WRONG TCP/IP!!
The files you got from /Advsys/... are ancient garbage! Yes, they hog
memory, NO they're not the 32-bit MS TCP/IP-32 (Daytona beta) which
is designed to work with Windows for Workgroups 3.11. Once you get
onto ftp.microsoft.com look in the directory:
/peropsys/WFW/tcpip/vxdbeta
in there you'll find
mtcpb2.exe
its a self extracting archive with all the distribution file.
Then UNINSTALL that ol' dog before you do anything else
- wipe out every last vestige of it! And install the new
MS TCP/IP-32 via the Network Setup icon in WfWG 3.11
via [Add Protocol...], "Unlisted or Update..." etc. etc.
Good Luck
Doug
